ubuildit. AI-first
For home and commercial contractors

Quote the job from photos. Skip the site visit.

Your customer takes a few photos and answers a few questions. ubuildit measures the scope, prices it from your own rate card, and hands you a quote to review and send. You only get in the truck when the job actually needs you there.

Stop driving to jobs you were never going to win

The average estimate costs a contractor half a day. Most of them lose.

Assess

Quantities, not guesses

The model reads the photos against the answers and returns real line items: square feet of tile, linear feet of crown molding, unit counts, access constraints. Every line carries a confidence and a note on how the quantity was derived.

Price

Your rate card, never ours

ubuildit does not invent prices. It produces scope and quantities, and your own price book turns that into a number. Two contractors quoting the same photos get two different, correct answers.

Send

Same hour, not next week

A draft quote is waiting when you open the job. Adjust the lines you disagree with, add anything the camera could not see, and send. The customer accepts or declines in a tap.

The important part

The AI measures. You price.

This is the line the whole product is built on, and it is not a technicality. The model is never asked what a kitchen costs. It is asked what is in the photo, how much of it there is, and how sure it is.

  • Your rates stay yours. Your margin is not benchmarked, averaged or shared.
  • Every number on the quote traces back to a line in your price book.
  • Low-confidence lines sort to the top of the editor, so your attention goes where it is worth the most.
  • Nothing reaches a customer until you have read it and pressed send.

Site visits, when the job genuinely needs one

Not never. Just not by default, and never as a guess.

Flagged

The assessment decides

Structural work, restricted access, suspected asbestos or damp, anything behind a wall the camera cannot see. When the model hits one, it raises the flag itself rather than quietly guessing a number.

In writing

With a stored reason

Every site-visit call is saved on the job with the reason that triggered it. It is an auditable field, not a hunch, so you can show a customer exactly why you need twenty minutes on site.

Yours to override

You always have the last word

Know the property already? Send the quote anyway. Not happy with a high-confidence line? Book the visit. The flag informs your decision, it does not make it for you.

Coverage

Built for the work you actually take on

Each trade gets its own questionnaire, its own starter price book and its own assessment prompt, because the questions that price a bathroom are not the questions that price a roof. Residential and commercial, side by side in one workspace.

For your customer

Free, and it stays free

No account to hunt for, no app store detour, no sales call. They open your link on the phone in their hand, answer a few questions, take the photos and get a real number back. Customers never pay ubuildit anything.

For your team

Roles that match your crew

Owners and admins run the price book and billing. Estimators quote. Viewers look. Each company is a separate workspace with its own isolated data, enforced in the database rather than in the interface.

Pricing

Per seat, per month. Your customers are always free.

Per seat, per month USD, with a monthly quote allowance

Plans scale on seats and on how many assessments you run each month. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and no card is needed to see the product work on your own jobs. Final numbers are being set with our first contractors now.

Questions

The ones contractors ask in the first five minutes.

Does the AI set my prices?

No, and it never will. The model produces scope and quantities only. Your price book, day rate, markup and tax settings turn those quantities into money. If you change a rate, every future quote changes with it. Nothing is benchmarked against other contractors.

What happens when the photos are not enough?

The assessment says so. Each line carries a confidence, and the job carries an overall verdict on whether a site visit is needed, with the reason stored alongside it. Low-confidence lines are sorted to the top of your editor so you can fix them, ask the customer one follow-up question, or book the visit.

How accurate is it really?

Accurate enough to give a customer a number the same hour, and honest about where it is not. That is the design goal. It measures against reference objects in the photo and against what the customer told you, and it says which of the two it used on every line. You review every quote before it leaves.

Do my customers need an app?

Not at launch. The request flow runs in the phone browser, camera and all, from your link or QR code. A native app is on the roadmap once the quoting loop is proven with real contractors, and it will stay free for customers.

Is my data separated from other contractors?

Yes, at the database level. Every workspace is isolated by row-level security in Postgres, not by a filter in the application code. A customer sees their own jobs and the quotes sent to them, never a draft, and never another customer's photos. If you need the detail for a security review, ask support@ubuildit.ai.

Can I import the price book I already have?

You start from a seeded starter book for each trade you select, then edit it. CSV import is on the phase one list, so the rates you have spent years refining come across rather than being retyped.

Your next quote could be done before you finish this page.

We are onboarding the first contractors now, and shaping the starter price books around the trades they actually run.
